Default B20 compatability Questions

Heres my situation. I had a 98' jdm b18c in my 97 civic hatchback and it has locked up on me. I took the motor out and I am planning on rebuilding it, but in the mean time i need something in the car so I can drive it. I want to get a b20 and as far as I can tell, swaping the ITR trans, intake manifold, header, starter, ect. to the b20 for use in a civic will work just fine. all the mounts should be the same. the only thing im not sure about is using the adapted cx/type R wiring harness on the b20. I know b20 is non-vtec so I was wondering if I could just hook everything up in the correct places and leave the 2 vtec wires unconnected. I wouldnt think thats should effect anything since the ECU would be non-vtec anyway. that brings me to the next question. What ECU would I need to use. I have read that you use a comparable year LS ecu, but does it have to be chipped? Is there any other ecu that would work?

Does anyone have an LS ECU to sell around NOVA area?

Is there any other problems with my plan that I have not thought of? Thanks for the help!
