i just bought a jdm b20 motor for 400 bucks, do i use my same ecu or should i buy a different ecu, if yes, which one should i get...

 

run the ecu that the b20 is supposed to use. it depends what year it is, cuz there are different b20's.

 

its a 98 crv...

 

then make sure u get the ecu from a 96 - 98, cuz the 99+ have different compression ratios. u can prolly find one in a junk yard, ebay, or maybe the marketplace here.

I think your supposed to use your stock teg ecu, when we swapped a b20 to my friends teg im 100% sure we used the ls ecu. The CRVs were automatic and your using ls injectors and wiring harness and dist so no reason why not to use the LS ecu. Also redline im assuming is lower on the b20 ecu as well.
