b18c1 oil pumps: can i use one off a 2000 si or does any other gen work? Cant find no one that sells them new.... look inside.

I have a 94 obd1 gsr with a b18c1 motor i need an oil pump. Since majestic honda and non of the parts stores sells this separate or just dont carry acura parts i cant find one....

Can i use a b16 2000 si civic oil pump? How about the 96 and up integra gsr? Would the crank angle sensor mater since the obd1 and 2 oil pump differences if any? What about the oil squarters in the c1 block is that oil pump gonna have enough oil pressure to keep up?

Any input thanks....

So can i use the oil pump as long as it is obd1 ? can i use obd2?
i can use these oil pumps correct?

2000 civic si (b16)
96+ integra gsr (b18)

Does obd 1 or 2 matter? i have obd 1.

yes you should be able to use an si or the del sol oil pumps either or. if you do use one from an obd2 vehicle the lower timming cover is different because of the crank angle sensor. if you can run another obd1 pump if not you can mod you timming cover to fit the obd2 style pump.

So i suppose the closet oil pump to use for a obd1 gsr block is the b16 delsol dual cam obd1 vtec oil pump?

99% of the time its better to use OEM parts.

What about using the 94 delsol (b16) vtec oil pump of the b16 motor?

I cant find no one that carrys just the 94-95 gsr oil pump the dealer wants 300 for it and no one else can get it or carry it

to answer, the obd2 pump will work, the timing cover is different though. 300 for an oe oil pump? wow.

What about the obd 1 delsol dual cam vtec with the b16 motor? its obd1

If i use obd 2 i have to change timming covers or trim one i am not about to hack a good timming cover

i got a 94 integra gsr now i just need a dam oil pump

non-VTEC

you can use a OBD2 pump on the OBD1 engine but like mentioed before the lower timing belt cover will not fit. you have to change the lower timing belt cover to a OBD2 style.

the top line pumps are fine. but for the extra 20-30 bucks you are better off getting a new OEM one.
