Default B18c1 into a CX

Ive seen the pst already for the b18c1 into the civic but it was a 92 si, and i have a 92 cx hatchback, i was wondering if anything else would be different, like if i needed mount inserts or anything, i was thinking about getting a 96 gsr swap with obd1 so that no too many wiring problems but not sure for now, please reply asap thanks
Peace

Mounts, and everything will be the same as the Si, with adding of the Knock Sensor.

As for wiring of the engine harness, it depends if you use an Si/EX harness, it'll plug right up (VTEC is already wired for you).

You will still need to wire up IAB and Knock, however.

everything said above is true. and in addition, you will have to get an extension for the exhaust because on the stock cx motor the cat is on the exhaust manifold and on the SI it is not, although i dont know if SI guys have to get an extension made. and you will have to convert to a 4 wire O2 sensor. if you have any issues, let me know i just finished mine a couple of weeks ago.

Plug and play motor.

I would suggest posting picture during the swap, always helps if you run into problems.

hey guys about the wiring i found this on c speed racing
"If your car does not have vtec, 2 more wires must be added. A yellow wire with a green stripe for the vtec solenoid can be found on the engine harness and must be pinned in at A4. The vtec oil pressure sensor can be found as a blue wire in the harness and must go to D6."
does the yellow wire with a green strip have an original location in the plug and just need to be moved or is it just hangin there? also the same question about the blue wire so that this can be done
thank you guys

Just make sure you have the INTEGRA mounts.

I thought I could just use my stock CX mounts with my B18B and it's toher way around, so my car was parked for a little bit.

No one ever gave me a clear answer on the mounts, but this is what I finally discovered as being the correct mounts and the reasons why:

You can reuse from the D-series motor:
-Upper transmission mount
-Driver Side Engine Mount (attaches off the A/C compressor bracket)
-Rear Engine Mount (only the mount part which sits on the rear crossmember)
-Lower Transmission Mount (only the mount part that attaches to the car)
-Driver Side Upper Engine Side Mount (large fluid filled mount that attaches to the car with one bolt and to the engine bracket with one bolt and two studs). This will bolt up to a B18C engine bracket with no problems if you choose to use it. If you are swapping in a B16/B17 of maybe a B18A/B, you'll have to use either a Delsol VTEC mount (this will accept the two studs from the B16 bracket) or switch to an Integra engine bracket. I'd recommend a Hasport mount here anyway.

You will need from a 1994-01 Integra MT or a Delsol VTEC:
-Lower Transmission Bracket (attaches to the transmission with three bolts). The D-series bracket will bolt up with a few bolts, but won't be positioned correctly. It must be replaced. However, this mount appears to be redundant and somewhat uneccesary, anyway.
-Rear Engine Mount Bracket (attaches through the transmission and block to the engine and goes over the rear engine mount of the crossmember.) The D-series bracket will not bolt in at all. We used the D-series mount with the ES inserts and the Integra bracket. It looks as though the Integra bracket will not fit the D-series mount properly w/o the ES inserts or switching to an Integra rear mount.

Hope this is clear. Sorry it's so wordy...

Should be no worries there. You have a 92 so it's prewired for VTEC in the cabin harness even though it never came stock with a VTEC motor. All you need to do is use a VTEC engine harness and almost everything will be plug and play.

Just use the harness off of the b18ci and vtec will already be wired. All 92 hatches came with vtec wires,
