CX question
on a 92 cx is the wiring from the shock tower to the ecu the same as other 92 civics or is the cx different?
I just had my 92si stolen in central Florida and I am looking at a cx now
TIA

TTT somebody with a CX has to know
**from what I have read if I use a ex/si harness all I would have to add is the knock since all 92's are prewired for vtec. just need some conformation that the wire harness from the shock tower to the ecu is the same as others and not different do to the 1 wire O2***

so if i use an ex/si engine harness it will be just like an SI/ex, I'm not really concerned with the engine harness but the wiring from the shock tower to the ecu, just wanted to confirm that all 92's are the same regardless of trim from the ecu to the shock tower
I searched but the search throws out cx b/c its only 2 characters

The car is prewired for vtec, from the shock tower to the ecu. I don't believe it's prewired for the O2 sensor though, unless it's a California emissions model, or someone already wired it in. So to be able to just use the Si/EX harness and have complete plug and play, you'll need to add the wires for the O2 sensor as well (matching up with the right pins on the shock tower plugs).

^ thats waht i was wanting to know, can anyone who actually has a cx confirm that the cx is missing the wires for the O2 from the shock tower to the ecu, it doesn't seem right, why would they put the vtec wires in and not the O2 wires

hey i have a 93 civic cx and i did a b18b swap of course its not vtec but its already prewired for vtec and if u get the ex si engine harness it will have the 4 wire 02 sensor connector im almost 100% sure it will work cuz when i did my swap the only harness i had to replace was the engine haness so it should work man.. evertything else was plug and play so make sure u get the ex/si harness and ur ready to go..

I own a 92 CX Hatch, The CX is missing NO wires from the Shock tower to the ECU, Every single wire that ANY model of civic from 92-95 CAN have, the 92 CX's have, Period. My Y8 head swap was plug and play with a 1994 Civic EX engine wiring harness, As was my B18B1 swap.

IIRC, ONLY 1992 non-vtec civics came pre-wired for Vtec, Do you have pics of the car side of your shock tower plug?
