Default B18C hood clearance in EG

About 2 months ago I swapped in a JDM B18C (GSR) into my 95 DX. I can close the hood but occasionally it comes unlatched. Not all the way like the hood is going to slam up into the windshield, but like someone pulled the lever. Is there enough engine movement to knock the hood loose? Thanks ahead of time...Steve

Yes check those. You shouldn't have any issues with clearance if you have all the proper mounts.

Shouldn't have issues with clearance. Problem is elsewhere. You'd know for sure if you didn't have enough clearance.

I used the factory mounts just fine.

My drivers side torque mount is even busted and my motor *clunks* every now and then on pull off and the motor STILL never hits the hood.

If you removed the hood for the swap it might not be in alignment, check the hood hinges to see if they are off also check hood to fender clearance on both sides try to make gap even on both sides.I took my hood off but before i did i marked the hood where the hinges mount for guidance. Also the hood latch can/will adjust up and down,it sounds like it is not fully locking down, one more thing there are rubber stoppers on the core support that adjust the height of the hood in relation to the fenders.Hope this helps!
