B18b1 vacuum hose question
I am doing a b18b1 swap in my 1992 civic hatch and i have to vacuum lines that arent going anywhere. one is coming from the map sensor on the firewall and the other is coming from the lower part of the firewall. I got the car started but it is wanting to quit when i hit the gas. I dont know if these problems are related but if someone could tell me where the vacuum lines are supposed to go that would be great. THanks

Re: B18b1 vacuum hose question (nwisehart)
map sensor is on the intake manifold on the 18b. Try and use that one (if you got it), or you will have to run the vacuum line to the intake manifold. As far as the firewall one, if it's coming from the driver side, it could be steering or brake stuff, if its comeing from the passanger side, it might be fuel or emmsions stuff. A picture would be real handy.

The main vacuum lines you should be having is the FPR vacuum line in front of the intake manifold.
The brake booster hose (which is the biggest angled nipple), the EVAP (Charcoal) Canister, which has 1 main rubber/braded hose, going right next to the MAP sensor on top of the throttle body. The EVAP canister also has one vacuum line which goes to the intake manifold as well.
You may have another nipple on the throttle body next to where the EVAP rubber/braded hose, that is meant for a vacuum line to go to the MAP sensor on the firewall.
