JUST A THOUGHT BUT I LOOK AT IT LIKE THIS ... THE CAR DECIDES THE OBD1,2, NOT THE MOTOR.... MINOR CHANGES ALLOW YOU TO PUT ANY YEAR MOTOR IN. BUT THE PLUG STYLE OF THE B16B ECU IS OBD2A,B

from what I understand it is an OBDIIb which is a PCT Ecu. It's too bad PCT's can't be chipped but you get better gas mileage since vtec kicks around 6k.

it is also available in OBD2A.
