b16a2 in a 94 ex coupe
im looking to swap a b16a2 sec gen sir into my 1994 civic ex coupe
the motor im looking at comes with:
engine, tranny(hydro), p30 obd1 ecu, all mounts and brackets, complete wire harness, all axles and basically All Sensors,dist,alt,starter,p/s & a/c pumps
manifolds,etc
i know this should be a pretty straight forward swap, but i am only 16 and i just got my car about 3 months ago, ive read tons of stuff on swaps and read how to's, and i have a pretty good idea of how to do this
im just wondering if i should try this, if so, should i chip my ecu and is there any other parts i would need to complete this swap (a/c bracket maybe, or other sensors i need, or need to wire), but if i use the wire harness from the b16, i dont think ill need to rewire anything?
i basically just want any tips or thoughts that someone that did this already would wqant to give me before i start so i dont screw up
and is there anyone that has done a swap with no problems what so ever
just wondering
i am also buying at the same time:
clutch, header, intake, exhaust, spark wires, ignition, springs and struts, si wheels, drilled and slotted rotors, brake pads, strut bar, and lots of other sound and interior parts
any help i would be thrilled with

if the motor is jdm, you can't use the harness that comes with it. Just get an ex harness or use your stock one (you will have to add a couples of wires). If you wanna keep the ac, you will need an ac mount from a del sol. The rest should bolt up. Good luck

yep, its jdm
why cant i use the stock b16 harness?
can i use my stock ex harness, if so, what mods do i have to do to it
or can i buy a usdm b16a2 harness and convert it to obd1, will this harness need any mods
thanks

jdm harness are for rhd cars and not for lhd which is usdm spec cars. you can use your stock harness just add the knock sensor wire to the harness.

you can use the jdm harness but you really have to stretch them to work. it looks like crap. ive seen it done. i used my cx harness and added the wires

You already have an EX so just transfer the engine harness from it onto the B16. You will only need to run 1 wire for the knock sensor. If you get the swap somplete with an OBDI P30 ECU I would use it. If not, you can also have your P28 chipped to DOHC specs. With that there would be no knock sensor so there would be no wiring involved.
