B16a1, What should i replace before installing
I am doing a b16a1 into my 1991 si hatch.... Here what i plan to do before installing the motor.........
- New oem honda water pump
- New oem honda oil pump
- New Timing belt
- New head gasket
- New Ctr 0.25 over pistons
- Balanced Crank,pistons and rods
- ARP rod bolts
- Clutchmaster stage 3-4 Clutch
- Clutchmaster ALum flywheel
Any other suggestions on what i might wanna replace before the install....

Radiator hoses
Misc. hoses on intake manifold
Valve cover gasket and spark plug grommets
Oil pan gasket.
Front and rear main seals. Should be done anyway since you are rebuilding the bottom end Since you are having the bottom end apart replace the rod bearings and main bearings.

Sounds to me like you are on the right track. However I would consider replacing bearings (rod, main, thrust). you need to get the code on the crank, block, and rods, then go to acura to get the right clearance bearings. but, if your original bearings are good you dont have to do any of this. use plasticgage to check clearance on your orig. ones.
