Default B16a into EF, a few questions. Need Help ASAP.

Ok, the motor is a b16a p30 with jdm y1 w/lsd.

Here are the questions:

Will 90-93 integra axles work, does the axle type for power steering work ok even if I dont have power steering?

Will my exhaust line up from my old 1.5 dx motor? If not, any ideas on how to rig up some type of muffling device?

Where can I find info on Wiring in the Speed Sensor?

You have to go to the earlier axles with Y1 like on the site just mentioned or else will not fit. It is not power steering that is the problem it is AUTOMATIC vs. manual that was the problem I had. So follow that site which breaks it down. Can't help with the exhaust as I do not think that will cross over too well...

Default As for exhaust....

You're going to need a full b-series exhaust manifold. I made sure I was sent the upper and lower pieces, as only the upper will be on the motor when it comes on the crate. After that, you have to remove your cat from the exhaust and spin it to bolt up to the exhaust manifold downpipe. Then you should have a few inches to fill in the gap. I just grabbed a 3" piece of universal 1 1/4" pipe or however big it ended up being (on my Si). Then I just used U-clamps and some crappy welding to hold me over until I get a 2.5" collector/cat/catback setup. This sucks for performance, but it was the $10 method. Hope that helps.

Which axles work depends on which mount kit you use. Axles have nothing to do with power steering.

Will not line up, you'll need to go have a muffler shop connect the two.

Are you using another gauge cluster? If you're still using your stock gauge cluster, you'll need to swap it out for a mechanical speed sensor. If you're using an SiR cluster, you'll need to wire it up. middle wire is signal to cluster/ECU, outer two are +5V and -

good luck,
Jared

NAPA actually supplies two different types of 90-93 integra axles. Those for cars with power steering and those without.

I have a 88 CRX SI "NS" cluster.

I am using the place racing mount kit.

The motor has a jdm mugen header with collector, but this still wont line up with my 2.5 exhaust right?

Thanks for the help. If anyone else can help further it would be much appreciated.

Get the axles for the non power steering. You need to get a mechanical speed sensor so that you dont have to grief over the electrical one. I have one...just pay some shipping and its yours. I doubt your exhaust will line up if it is a dx. HTH
