Default Is the b16a and b18c's front driver lower torque motor mount different?

I just bought a lower driverside motor mount bracket and mount from a gsr. I have a 96 civic ex coupe with b16a. It does seem the bracket itself fits but not the mount that bolts onto the frame. It has a lil grove that sticks out so it doesn't mount flush onto the frame like it should.. do i just need to get the one for the si? i coulda swore it was the same

I just went through this: get the ex mount and put it on the si brace. Basically that gets rid of the problem your having with that top part of the gsr mount being a full peice. However this is not your only problem. The gold screw for the brace itself will be too short and most likely you will only get like 3 turns of thread so for now i left mine out and just got the energy susepension inserts for the right side only. You really wont need that mount too bad since your b16 doesnt have alot of torque, but your right side mount will ware faster. Hope i was some help.

have you tried to cut the top out of that thing yet??? if you cut the plate off the top of the rubber mount it should clear the grove that is welded to the frame rail. friend of mine did this on his 97 and it worked good, so he says. He was doing a gsr swap but it should be the same.
