Default B16a with B16b pistons

I was just wondering out of curiousity if anyone has rebuilt there b16a with CTR pistons and if so are you able to run on pump gas and could the head be milled for more compression.

The reason I ask is that I am thinking about building my B16a with crower rods and CTR pistons, and I already have a B16a head that is port and polished by portflow and milled 40thou. Will I run in to any valve clearance issues? Any help would be much appreciated.

Pump gas, yes.
Dunno about clearances. Try thick head gasket.

the clearances are good with any cam. it is not that much commpression on a 77mm stroke 1.6 liter motor.

Yeah but I am worried because the head is milled so much. I have a very similar head on my lsvtec and I have to run a small cam with little lift because of clearance issues. It is a b18a block with USDM ITR pistons and the head is milled 40thou also. I have trouble running it on pump gas I have to retard the timing and roll around town and not get on it until I put in some race gas. Do any of you have a B16 with B16b pistons?

I have a b16a with CTR pistons and a Portflow modded head milled 30 thousandths and run pump gas with timing @ 16 deg. and no pinging....CR>11.2 for this.

BTW, I have a 1991 Civic EX (4 dr) and just ran 14.6 @ 96.2 mph last nite on only 3rd run with "soft" launch before I broke driver side axle (NOT a Honda part - which I somehow did not notice on purchase). Any non-Honda parts will make you sad!!!
