b16 swap vtec problems are stressing me
okay so i recentley did a b16 swap into my 94 del sol, me and a few friends did the swap we got it running, but we we're afraid to try to wire vtec ourselves since none of us had done it before so i took it to a shop and got them to wire vtec for me, its a pretty repetuable shop, so i dont think its something they did wrong. But i got my car back yesterday and the mechanic there told me i needed to replace my knock sensor before vtec would engage. Due to it being broken either during shipping or during the transplant..not really sure.
But the problem im running into is, that im running a chipped p28, its a skunk2 chip that isnt even supposed to look for a knock sensor.
am i just an idiot and need to replace the knock, or could there be another fault in the vtec components?
i need help asap.
all replies are appreciated.
i am throwing a cel
and it appears to me to be 21
but this is also my first time checking cel's so i could just be ignorant.
someone please send me in the right direction.

Re: b16 swap vtec problems are stressing me (JdelMsolG)
i think he doesnt know what hes doing. i did a swap and wired the vtec up myself and never had a knock code and i went from haveing one to not having one. i had to find a ecu piout diagram and find with pinouts on the wiring harness ecu side. after i found that out i went to the junk yard and pulled a couple of pins out of a da harness and wired up the vtec to what the manual said on the wiring daigram in the back of the manual. just folow the colors. some of the jdm ecus are differnt form the us ones so make sure hes using the right codes.
