b16 swap into 92 civic dx
hello, im new to forums and posting, but i need help. i bought an obd1 b16a to swap into my 92 honda civic dx hatchback. Came with motor, transmission, ecu (p30), axles, wiring, stock mounts, and shift linkage. I think thats everything. i need to know what all is involved in putting the motor in my car, do i need different mounts, wiring ect. I searched but could never find a good write up. If you could point me to a write up or provide the information that would help a lot. Thank you for your time Shaun Bott.

The 99-00 Civic SI timing components will all be exactly the same.
You will need B series mounts for an EG.
I recomend hittin the HT sponsors and gettin some Hasport or Innovative.
If you wanna save a few dollars you can get avid's = they are also decent for the money.
You will just modify your current harness for the b16 motor. It isn't really that difficult and if you do some searching you can find quite a few threads explaining the process. I would hit the Civic Forum though, cause the B16 Into an EG isn't really a hybrid swap! You will find alot more info in there.
Any thread related to putting a B-series motor into an EG (92-95 Civic) will be almost exactly the same as what your doing except you will need to wire in VTEC.

I am one of his buddies in RL and we were just double checking. The search engine on this site brings up far to much riff raff to read through even with narrowing the search. I appreciate the information you gave us though thanks a ton. We will give the other section a try and check out some of the other B series swap write ups.
