Default b16 obd question

i have a 97 civic im planing on getting a b16 iv been doing alot of searching and i see alot of companys sellin engines like hmotorsonline and jdmcustoms only have obd1 b16's. i have obd2 and am wionderin if the obd1 will work or if i can change to obd1 or vise versa. thanx

usually, you if you have an obd2 car it would be essential to find an obd2 motor, but that dosent always happen. so you could get a obd1 motor, swap injector clips on obd2 harness to obd1 clips, convert the obd1 distro to an obd2 plug, and be on your way....those are the really 2 main issues with that, all of the other plugs are the same ie( vtec/knock sensor/water temp/ oil press/ reverse sensor/ map sensor/ throttle position)....its not really that hard

ah i c is there an advantage having obd1 rather then obd2?
