Default B16 with hydro

Ok, so I have a 1st gen B16A, and I'm looking to buy a 96-00 hatchback, but I have a S1 cable tranny, so I wont be able to use that on the hatch, my question is will ANY hydraulic tranny bolt directly onto my engine, or is there anything different about 1st gen motors or JDM motors that would make it so that certain transmissions wont bolt up?

If want to use a Hydro Transmission you can use any B Series transmission. You will also have to use a clutch for a hydro transmission.

you will need new mounts for the A1 motor..

A1 mounts and A2+ mounts are different..

i would toss that S1 tranny in the dump..

Smaller gears/syncro's and pure junk.. honda does not sell parts for them..
but i've seen cable trannies in hydro cars.. get a welder

any vtec/none vtec FWD (not AWD CRV) will bolt up

Ok I'll keep that in mind, but I thought that the cable to hydro conversion kit was to install a hydro transmission in a car that came with a cable one...that's just what I thought though, I didnt actually verify

Ok, cool, are they reliable? Like the hasport one? Also, is it even worth it to use my S1 tranny, or should I go the extra effort and find a good hydraulic one?
