Default B16 head differences?

Are there any differences between B16A1 and B16A2/ITR heads? I keep hearing about "improvements in oiling." Is this a reason to stay away from the A1 heads? Anything else (besides "tired" valvesprings in an A1 head)?

Thanks
Ben

CTR and ITR heads are Ported and polished from factory and have much better valve train, 92+ head other then cams and cam caps are not going to perform much different from 1st gen, in most situations, it is not noticable at all...

Yeah, I knew about the valvetrain/porting/cams...I'm just interested in the differences in the casting itself. You are saying that the A1 heads don't have the cam "bridge," they just have caps like the LS head?

Thanks
Ben

...as far as the head's oil lubing system goes on an 89-91 B16A vs 92+ B16A head, it's all the same. Visually the 89-91's have cast oil spray bards and the 92+ heads have billet lookin oil spray bars. The big difference is the coolant passages. But it's really nothing to bicker over. 89-91 B16A heads are excellent to use, as long as you upgrade the valvesprings and any seals since those heads are 13 years old.
