Hi Guys,

I bought a 96 97 type r from hmotorsonline.com with hasport level 1 axles. The passenger side fits perfectly into the tranny, while the drivers side seems to not slide all the way and fit. there's back and fourth play, as well as some rotational play. it's hard to show in the video, but the in and out is obvious. Is this a normal thing, or an incorrect/bad axle? they're "brand new." The guy at hmotorsonline said I need to wack it with a hammer, while the guy at hasport said that the play should be normal (without watching the video) I put an old axle nut on and gave it more hard wacks than I should have and quit thinking I was going to screw something up in the tranny.

Check the c clip on the axle if it's worn

It looks OK to me. I had the axle out a few good times and got the same result each time. If the clip was worn, would that explain the rotational movement? if you watch the end of the video you can see me moving it in that manner. Maybe today I'll pop it out and get pictures.

update : tried new napa axle and it fits the exact same way. Has anybody had this amount of play in a b series drivers side axle? Recommend changing the half shaft?
