Default Axle Issues

Okay, I'm about to show you some photos of a disaster I have created. I want to replace my driver side axle in my H22 EJ. Here's a photo of the 90-93 Integra axle:

Now, as you can see in this next photo, my intermediate shaft is not compatible. There's the CV from the old axle. I think we swapped it last time to make it work. Is it an Accord i-shaft, or a Prelude i-shaft?

I may just have to swap the ends to make it work, but want to know if maybe I can buy a different i-shaft. Here's another picture, kind of useless.

I'm basically just getting tired of swapping the CVs every time I change an axle, and want something that will just simply fit. Thanks for your help, Rob.

I had a prelude midshaft and had to use a prelude inner as well with the 86-89 teg axle.

The 90-93 would be used only for the length (or maybe the 89 integra axle might be best) -You still have to build it using the Prelude inner hub.
This all depends on the mount kit that you are using, what combination of axle to use.

From your frustation, it seems like you might have been through this before? If you have been having axles troubles, might be time to step up and buy some stronger axles built for your swap.

If you get the accord half shaft you can use 90-93 teg axle ....Itll fit right on ...No building an axle..

Why not just purchase a set of stage 1 axles?

I'm not sure that either will work. You basically hafta swap the CVs from on axle to the next. I'm not sure which CVs you swap, that's why I created this thread. People always say use a 90 Accord halfshaft with 90-93 integra axles, but does it hookup w/o having to swap CVs?

You have a prelude intermediate shaft in your picture. If you swap to an accord intermediate shaft I believe the 90 teg axle is plug and play.

^^^^yup, looks to me to be a prelude i-shaft. I think I have an extra accord i-shaft in my garage. PM me if you want it.
