Default Airflow for a 65mm t/b into a stock GSR i/m

I just bought a 65mm throttle body for my B18C1. I still have the stock GSR intake manifold ( Still waiting for the Skunk2 manifold, backorder for 2-3 weeks ). Anyways, if I were to mount this 65mm t/b onto my stock i/m, will I lose performance because of the airflow going from a 65mm diameter into a diameter that is smaller ?? I hear alot of people mounting up a bigger t/b into their engines but, are they losing performance without match porting thier t/b with the i/m ?? What should I do ?? Thanks for the help.

No. The air is being sucked from the intake manifold - not the intake. Now if the throttle body's bore was smaller than the intake manifold's - there would be a problem.

I know this is a tad bit late, but would their be any power gains from doing so??? I'm running a gsr with I/H/E. I plan on getting a Phareable.Net base tune(chip) along with the 65mm throttle body. I've seen the Professional Products throttle body 65mm for 60$. Would the power gain, if any, be worth it for the price???
