Ahhh Error code blues..... DEQ
So I gotta pass DEQ now...
I have a 97 Civic hatch:
LSvtec
P28 w/hondata S100
OBD2a to OBD1 harness.
For DEQ got a P72-AO4 ECU.
When I did the swap I got excited and put my motor in knowing that it was only 95% OBD2 but, using a OBD1 ecu meant I did not "need" those sensors at the time. Now I do so I did some searching... Did some mods, now it dont start lol... It runs fine with the P28 in there. Here is what I needed and did.
Needed CKF sensor. Actually have one but found the FFsquad trick and decided I did not need to install the sensor. Did the trick But I still get a code 54. Then I realized I stole that C14 pin for my vtec switch ( I have a DX BTW) So the red/white wire is not connected to the ECU... pretty sure I can solve this code with a OBD2 ECU pin Sound about right?
But wait the hits keep coming... also get code 7 and 14 hmmmm never got any codes on the P28.
TPS I am gonna reset my ECU (OBD2a P72) maybe the TPS on the other car is different and reads different? Help me out here....
Code 14 IACV circuit failure???? this one stumps me. I swicthed to two wire IACV for obvious reasons. P72 should look for 2 wire right? Again never had this code with my P28.
Actually no codes at all with P28 ECU even now. only with P72. A04
Please help me.
Nick

Re: Ahhh Error code blues..... DEQ
Got code 54 fixed. Reset ECU and still get 14 and what I thought was 7 but, it is 7 long blinks. That would make it 70? But 70 is for "Auto issues" My ECU is P72-AO4. This should be manual right?
Anyone?
