AC in h22 ek
Hey guys,
Just wondering if there is a way that i can fit/run AC on my h22 ek civic?
I have all the AC gear from when we did my swap from the d16y7, along with the compressor from the h22.
Any info is appreciated.
Thanks

Thank a lot for the info Nikko.
I have just emailed them and am waiting to hear back.
Sounds like this mount may be just the ticket..

Re: AC in h22 ek
I ran AC and PS in my Si coupe. All needed is a mounting bracket for the h22 that uses the factory compressor on the car. Its a vey simple setup. Make a flat plate that mounts to the 4 holes on the h series were the compressor goes. The weld on 4 tabs to hold the compressor inline with the alternator. Its really easy.

I used to have ac hooked up with my h22 ek.. I actually used the oem bracket and h22 compressor. But what I did was took my bracket to a machine shop and they shaved off the back half for me... thinned it up by about 1/2 in.. Was pretty tight fit, but I got it all to work.

As for the HCP mount, that would be close to $250 by the time it got to my door (canadian dollar and shipping ) which is more than i am able to spend.
Thanks for all the replies guys, i really appreciate it.

I dunno if I have a pic... ill check later tnight. But basically I took my oem compressor-to-block mount/bracket (was a flat kinda bracket)and I just had them shave off the back half of it.. So that the compressor was closer to the motor.. And it was only 1/2 inch at most I believe.. Then I had to grind just a little bit off the frame rail so the compressor pulley could spin.

Re: AC in h22 ek
You have to use the H22 AC bracket and make spacers to line up the civic compressor pulley. You also must use a 03 CRV AC pulley (its a 6 rib). You also need to cut the end of alternator adjustment bracket, otherwise it will hit the compressor. The AC lines also have to be manipulated away from the condenser. And the fan will have to be relocated to the front of the condenser. You must use a "pusher" fan. Make sure the fan is wired to push air into the condenser.
