Default 99 Civic SI swap in 96 EX

I'm dropping in a 99 b16a2 SI swap into my 96 Civic EX and was wondering if I need to stick with my stock harness/ECU or should I use the SI ECU/harness? I've heard that the SI harness might not fit my dash harness. Any truth to that and if so, would I just need to get the SI dash harness too? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
