95 usdm gsr into 92 si plz help.
i've done alot of searching and i think these questions are too specific so if people who have experience with this swap please help it would be much appreciated.
95 usdm gsr into a 92 si hb.
first question is for the mounts on the swap. some have told me i can mix and match with the teg and civic mounts that came with the swap. and others have told me that i need to buy a b16 tranny side mount in order for the swap to fit properly? i want the motor to fit as best as possible.
and secondly the person who sold me the swap told me that a 92 usdm eg si will have the same wiring harness as the jdm 92 sirs, so since they are all obd1 and wired up for b16 the knock sensor and the (i forgot the name of the 2nd)sensor i wont have to modify the wiring harness. he said in 93 they updated the usdm civics wiring harness without those 2 wires.
if anyone knows any information regarding this specific swap it would be super appreciated. and hopefully by the end of next week i'll have my car sucessfully back on the road! thanks again.

Re: (egsleepercivic)
thanks for the reply
yes i've done the searching for the two wires and i will do it if need be. but the reson for me asking is that the guy who sold me the swap told me that he did the same swap with a b16 in to a 92 si and it started up properly with no added wires and he told me that even for the gsr there shouldnt be need for any added wires becuase the japanese one is the same. (or does the b16 not have a knock sensor or iab compared to the gsr? )

a gsr has IAB's (dual stage intake manifold) without it wired properly you won't achieve the potential of the motor, another option is to get an after market intake manifold and eliminate the IAB's altogether. Although I would reccomend hooking up the knock sensor although it will run with out it
***EDIT**** B16 doesn't have IAB's that why your friend didn't have to mess with it .
