5G Wiring Problems
I'd always been told that a b18c1 is a direct bolt in for a 5G Civic. All articles, all DIYs I've been able to find agree that is the case.
Apparently not with my car. I have a 1994 Civic CX Hatch, and it is completely missing a 6 (3 in use) pin connector to match a connector on my engine harness. This connector wires the evaporative emissions and crankshaft speed fluctuation sensor.
So what's the deal? Do I need to swap out my main harness (At the moment I'm assuming that that is what will be required) or what?
If I do swap out my main harness, will it still connect properly to my ECU subharness? It is ESSENTIAL that I retain the stock Civic subharness.

Re: 5G Wiring Problems (Malachi)
1998 GSR engine and harness. Just popped into my head that the CKF sensor may have been added with OBD2, as it was on DSMs.

I'm not worried about the evap. emissions at all, given that I'm running an AEM EMS. Its the CKF that's got me wondering.

Nope. My engine harness has 4 connectors for the passenger side. The Civic has 3. In the Integra electrical manual, it is connector c104. Totally absent.

i'm 99.998% sure that you don't need anything in that extra plug. your assumption about CKF being obd2 is correct according to the diagram i am looking at. so if you dont' give a damn about the evap bullshit then you should be cool.

I'm pretty sure it's just there for nothing. If you look closer at the extra plug. You'll see that it's closed off. I did mine, and I saw that too, but when I went and checked on my friend GSR. It's just hanging like that, nothing connected.

I believe he's talking about the DRIVER'S SIDE harness. Not the passenger side, which is the ECU harness. So that's connector is not needed.
