2000 LS motor in a 97 ex
i have the '00 ls motor with axles, ecu, cut harness(damnit), tranny, and linkage. i know my car is obd2a and the motor is obd2b. what kinda problems if any will i have? whats the easiest way to do this swap, wiring wise. i was just gonna reuse my 97ex harness. will that be ok and will everything plug in? i did search but all i could find was info on swapping 96-98 b series motor in 96-98 car. thanx HT

Re: 2000 LS motor in a 97 ex (boostin4drcivic)
You will need to use your stock ex harness, and you will nees to extend a few things but it will all plug up. Also you will not be able to use the 2000 ecu. It has an immobilzer built in and will not work with 96-98 cars. I have a 98 ls ecu if you need it PM me. Everything else is straightforward. You wont have to repin, add or change anything since you have a ex so its a pretty easy swap. Oh also you need the 99-00 civic si rear engine/trans mount and the side engine bracket. (the cast iron piece that sticks out the side of the block.) I have that also.
