do you even know what ADBV is?

not all engines requires ADBV oil filter.. it depends on engine design if it needs ADBV..

another reason why to use OEM..

anyone else follow the thread in s2ki that the oem PCX filter has changed from toyo roki to filtech.

filtech and toyo roki seem affiliated now.

construction remains mostly the same. most outward difference is number of holes on the face. glue is different. otherwise pretty much the same. according to one person who has disassembled both.

I was going to ask about that the Filtech filter. After looking I saw that Toyo Roki owns Filtech.

i haven't had to buy s2000 filters in awhile and picked up a few from honda today.

fully expecting them to be Toyo-Roki units made in Japan, i was surprised to see Filtech on the filter and stamped made in USA.

no. i don't think i implied that anywhere in my post.

it just came as a surprise. i was accustomed to seeing the Toyo Roki on it that when i saw Filtech on there, it just threw me off.

I run the Honda Hamp S2000 spec filter on my cars. the smaller one i usually use on the track. keeps the most consistant oil pressure.

I just use a bypass tube. Filters just slow down my vtak.

I use OEM. Yeah, there are differenct manufacturers of OEM filters, different sizes, etc., but Honda (or any car manufacturer) would let some sub-par company make their filters. I have not heard of a single engine issue that was directly caused by the OEM oil filter.

OEM.

By luck of the draw I had a bad Mobil 1 filter not too long ago. I love Mobil 1 and though my chances of getting another 'bad' one is probably <0 I am still iffy.
