VTEC issues
I just noticed this yesterday, VTEC usually engages at exactly 62k RPM well just noticed ( in 1st,2nd) instead of engaging at 6.2 , around 7.5-8k RPM is pulls back the pulls forward very hard right before redline. it is very bothersome, and makes me wonder what's wrong.
Anybody have any suggestions as to what this may be. it is a 02 AP1, 62k miles.

1. Speak engrish please.
2. Check tire pressure.
3. Do a search

Was my post difficult to read? Sorry if it was..
I didn't say it was pulling in either direction. Its something with the engine, it's vtec, and its engaging funny ( late and pulling forward hard) .. I did search for this, and found noone with similar issue.

Do you have your AC on? I know when I have mine on, VTEC will kick where it normally does, then it shuts off the AC compressor (I can't really remember where) but then it pulls again, almost like a second VTEC. lol
I'm not really sure if that is what you are talking about, but like the others, I'd say check your oil.

for one, the car has no power and vtec is a joke so all loss in "power" shouldnt be very noticeable. second, to the assbag that suggested you check your oil, 'fraid not. low oil would prevent the car from vtak'in altogether.
and lastly, to the creator of this ridiculous thread, the s2000 doesnt come close to revving to 62k.

hey noob, why don't you actually know what the fuckinghell you're talking about next time you come in guns a blazin'.
low oil would stop vtec from engaging? yes.. this is true, but how low is low? it may be in the stage of low oil where still engages, but its still low.
and in response to your first statement...yes, I completely agree that your an idiot, because that is essencially all I could get out of that.
seriously, no honda car has a more noticeable vtec than the S, the car does have some power, and its not a joke.
also, NOOB. the op was saying that vtec kicks in at 6200, not 62000.

low oil will cause your pressure to drop... and for vtec to engauge the ecu has to see a certain amount of oil pressure read thru the vtec sol... so in fact if the oil is low but the light isn't on it will cause vtec to engauge later is the rpm rev..!! thank you have a good day!!
