I actually thought the "sound" of hitting vtec in an S2K would be very distinct like my civic si would, but sometimes I can barely hear it on the S. I could definitely feel the pull though.

I love the way vtec sounds on a K-seris motor though, espicially the rsx-s.

if you feel vtec kicking hard,,,thats because your motor is losing power before the crossover.....the smotther the better

pop off the box on your intake..drive it...then you'll really know if its "kicking."

and about your civic. flatter power band is better... thats why you dont get the whole THROW BACK sensation when it the change over occurs in the S2000. Big Bang Super blakah blakah cross overs dont do any good on the track.

If you cannot feel your vtec kick in around 6k on an AP1, you are crazy, especially if you have an intake, that noize that drowns out your stero is indeed your vtec.

the "feel" of vtec is different in every car especially with how cars are tuned.. for example on a properly tuned car you won't feel that big difference if the car has a smooth dyno curve, you can tune it so there is a bigger transition into vtec and you'l "feel" the difference but you'll run a little slower.

Exactly, you should feel your vtec just fine, the smoother the transition the better
