commonnn use ur imaginationnnnnn lol
Yes I drilled one hole in the center of the clear plastic, pushed the black LED holder in from the front, and pushed the LED in from the rear (sounds gay lol
)
then just pulled off the A pillar plastic, and snaked the wire through.

I think I may try that with RED LED's because my interior is all red......just gotta figure out which resistor to use so its not too bright....

that will be trick and I think would add a very nice touch to the interior if it is dim enough to direct the eye to the door opener handle. While you're at it, throw some lights on the underside of the door so when the door's opened the ground and door jam is illuminated.

that definately would be nice. (i did mention it in the first page...)
i was also thinking of using modifry's passenger doorlock switch wiring setup, so that when the passenger door unlocks, it will also power a LED within the door. the gap behind the handle should effectively point out the backlight handle.

im not familiar with his passanger door lock wiring setup....what does it do? and when the door unlocks...isnt it just a "jolt" of power? i mean, the power doesnt stay constant...does it? (sorry i dont really know how that works....)

theres a link on s2ki. http://www.s2ki.com/forums/ind...51052
but yes, exactly, a jolt of power. but thats enough to flash the location of the handle, dont you think?
every passenger in the dark has fumbled finding the door handle. i usually have to turn the dome light on.
but hey, if your vanity light works enough to show the door handles, then its a non issue. can you answer if it does? i asked first in my first post

yeah sorry i wasnt ignoring you i just forgot to answer
it doesnt shine light sideways....its only concentrated on the shifter/center console...and a tiny bit of light shines about less than halfway onto each seat...so NO it doesn't provide enough light to see the door handle.

okay so it would be just a flash...im sure its enough to light an LED, but i think others were thinking using an LED behind the handle to have the area lit all the time (or switched to the illum. so only when the headlights are on...) I think that (A dimly lit LED) would be more helpful than just a flash of light when the door is unlocked......
actually, the way i was thinking it, the power door locks when switched on, either to unlock or lock, it might be that it'll still send power as long as the switch is on. so you can keep the light lit until its found, so its more than just a flash. not sure on that tho.
yeah, it could be constantly on (dim) as well. either way.
i dont see a need for the floor to be lit tho.
i do have my own ideas of connecting the driver and passenger doorlock so they always work simultaneously too. rigging up the lighting would be simple... too many ideas... not enough motivation! i commend you for your effort, because my lazy *** never gets anything done!
