S2000 Vortech/Nitrous performance question -->
I am asking on my cousin's behalf - He reads a lot about getting Vortech in a s2k is the way to go for bang for your buck and we went to a JDM meet in Japantown SF and saw a few nice mugen and sponed out s2k's with a vortech and nitrous- is this a little too much for a stock motor? the guys who owned the cars said their all running stock motors and that they're all bullet proof- up to a certain point - after seeing these cars... my cuz wants to do a upgrade! should he?
friend/cousin/brother/etc. - he or she should be doing some inquiring on this since it isn't exactly your money that will replace the motor if and when it goes.
I'm not a fan of nitrous, especially on this car. the vortech - hell yea. but nitrous - I've witnessed one shop toast two F20c's (incompetent shop) and a few others roast rear diffs/clutches, etc. it isn't to say it will happen to you or your cousin/bro/etc., but it increases the possibility of it.
the motor will be fine, but up to a certain point, I would say "no no" unless you are out for a specific purpose: bracket racing or show car. otherwise, it would be entirely useless. the vortech alone on the other hand... ahhh.. very useful and it will be on all the time.
