Random shaking
So I’ve owned my s2000 for about 2 months now, and I have noticed at random when I start the car the whole thing will shake, not super violent but enough to make me tilt my head wondering why. It also will do the same sort of shake when the clutch pedal is complete pressed, it resembles when you don’t add enough gas when letting the clutch out and you kill the car, except the clutch pedal is all the way to the floor. Has this happened to anyone else? My only thought so far is that the clutch may need to be adjusted? The car is completely stock with just over 100K, recently did breaks fluids, value adjustment blah blah blah blah. Thanks in advance for any input.
When you say it's like not giving enough gas when starting to move then I assume it is shaking from the rpm being too low. If it is an idle problem then you can try cleaning your iacv (I assume our s's have one)
No no no no no, christ...
How many times do have we see a post like this to not know what this most likely is?
OP, obviously I can't be 100% sure without looking at your car, but I can tell you the most likely reason is something called "clutch buzz". It's extremely common, and unfortunately, there is little you can do to get rid of it completely. It's a design flaw.
If I weren't so lazy, I'd link you the TSB's myself... but just go look up Honda S2000 TSB's, you'll see it's most likely your issue.

Hmm, my clutch buzz on my01 is only on deceleration in gear, never knew that it had a problem at start up too. Good to know that I don't have that problem

blind leading the blind. im pretty sure its either ur map sensor if it is do the map wack (gently tap it with the plastic part or a screw driver) u can also try resetting ur ecu. if its not ur map one of ur motor, trans, diff mounts could have gone to **** and ur getting some kind of vibration at idle.
Well you could have had a cat crawl in your engine bay and get stuck in between the belts. It's rare I'm just saying it happened to me and I spent about a hour trying to pull the damn thing out. Oh and it smelled wonderful after the motor got good and hot.
Yeah well the day before I started my car and it had a IACV idle sound you know. So I shut it off started it back up and no problem it drove fine. The next day I get in it to go to work and there a horrible smell I look in the car exspecting to find like a burrito or something to that extent under my seat. I drive all the way to work 30 miles away. Get there pop my engine bay and there's a dead cat staring me right in the face. I tried to tak a picture with my samsung sway but the camera sucks, one of the tech's took a good picture on his iphone then a week later sells it and switchs to verizon. So the good picture was lost FOREVER. Still I nice and nasty story.
