Okay .. I've got a shot at getting a yellow '01 for msrp. Buy it or wait for 2002s? Opinions?

Don't be an impatient fool, wait for the '02. The glass window is worth the wait, plastic sucks. Not to mention, the tranny is improved along with the stereo. Definitely worth the wait.

you can save a lot of $$$ if you buy an '01. if you look around, you can find one at ~$1-2k under sticker price. the '02s will have a higher sticker price and you'll not get one for less than sticker. also, your Rs resale will be higher this year.

 

I think it depends on what kind of car it is. If it's an S2000 (or M3, Z8, or 360 Modena), then go ahead and buy it. If it's an NSX (or Ford Taurus, Buick Regal, or Chrysler minivan), then wait for the 2002.

 

I guess the biggest issue is if it is worth paying the extra amount over msrp for a 2002 which will only include glass window, improved stereo, and smoother tranny.

Don't know .. maybe I'll just get a poster instead
