Re: My 03 GPW S2000 Build
Me too man to be completely honest, and a BUNCH of people chose to paint these wheels specifically.
A lot of people don't take the time/care to do it right to make them look good. It's the little things count IMO, and I had good results with my painted rota's.
Hell I think I spent 30 mins vinyl'ing the center caps bc I kept buggin out that I didn't get it perfect, I went through a few of those H's before I was content. I didn't even want to test fit them after paint bc my black lugs hadn't came in and the chrome just looks so terrible, maybe I'm just picky but I knew what I wanted them too look like.
Thanks for all the good words guys.
The car is currently asleep in my garage for this winter, but there is an ever growing pile of parts in my house and lots of them say Pfab and Tial
more to come very soon, just working on getting everything together, hoping to have it all ready for this upcoming season. Needless to say, I'm stoked.

Re: My 03 GPW S2000 Build
Winter update:
car has been sitting in the garage for the last few months, and the parts have been piling up.
Within the next few months I should have everything together and installed. Quick rundown on the setup
100% stock F20C
Custom forward facing manifold
Borg Warner S366 .88ar Single scroll housing
Single 44mm MVR gate
3.5" downpipe
PFAB intercooler +aluminum charge pipe kit w/ Tial 50mm
ID 1000's
FullBlown in tank 340 LPH pump
Comp sprung 6puck
Comp 11lb Flywheel
and a ton of other random stuff to go along with it.
Plans for this year are to make 450+ on extremely low boost and pump 93. As funds allow I will address the drivetrain. At that point I will turn it up and really get after some power...600+
Coupla money shots:
This is what my roomate and myself have been calling our "staging area"
(parts for his boosted RSX build included in the pic as well)
MMMMMM Borg S366...should move some air
Quick shot of the custom sidewinder and 3.5" downpipe to go along with it.
Will be dropping it all off to get coated @ Swaintech this week. Nice to have them just about 15 mins from home.
Much much more to follow within the next few weeks here!

Re: My 03 GPW S2000 Build
The car was previously owned by an older fella. I don't think he was into the local scene at all. The car was more of a nice day cruiser for he and the wife. It wasn't even listed for 24hrs on s2ki before I had plane tickets purchased.
The 1500 mile trip wasn't too too bad, Stopped and stayed w/ a friend in charleston one night, and then once more again just into PA. Pretty tight quarters for 20+ hours I will tell you that much!!!!
Thanks again for all the positive words. There will be much much more to come in the next couple of weeks as I get cracking on the Clutch/turbo install.

I wouldn't try to do it in one shot , broken up into 2 days wouldn't be bad. Especially if the weather is nice and you can ride top down. I had the hardtop on the whole way back, the car feels 2x smaller with it on.

Re: My 03 GPW S2000 Build
Update city:
Took Friday off from the office to spend some quality time with my S :tipwink:
Tossed the car up on jackstands and a rack of beer in the fridge and got after it.
Old fans out:
New fans in:
Clutch time :reefer:
Misc junk out:
Trans out:
Stock clutch and flywheel (still tons of beef left for 70k)
Comp Twin installed and torqued:
Hyrdo throwout mounted:
Got everything put back together and went to hook up the TOB lines.
Found that I am missing a union/adapter. Seller found it still clipped to his car, no biggie, it is on its way to me already.

Re: My 03 GPW S2000 Build
With the trans completed and waiting on the fitting to be bled, I decided to keep moving along.
A/C lines.........yea.......those need to go.
Time to install the Ghettocrx A/c tuck kit and Alloy Craft heater reloc bracket.
Install went fairly smooth on this overall, wish I could have taken a few more pictures along the way but was by myself.
Did run into an issue where my stock coolant hose needed to be pulled off the fitting a bit for the valve to bolt up to the bracket. Quick fix, but worth noting.
Pic you can see it wasn't lining up
Lines tucked behind engine and ran to compressor/drier. Much much cleaner, big  to both guys for these kits.
