launch techniques
So how is everyone getting a quick start off the line? What rpms and techniques are you all using? I'm having a problem where i can launch the car even all the way at 6k rpm but the engine bogs for just a scond and i end up taking off at around 3000 rpm and gotta wait to get into vtec. What is everyone doing to avoid this? And no it's not the sensor whack issue that i'm having lol

you need to "load up" the drivetrain so it doesn't see shock which means slipping the clutch, which equals to burnt clutch smell and abuse to the drivetrain.

well just went to the local high school parking lot to experiement...seems i got the hang of it...a launch of around 4k-5k seems to be working pretty well. Car responds good, no clutch smell...minimum burnout. didn't even have to load up.

Isnt the best way to launch the car high revs and dumping the clutch? If you let the tires spin it takest he shock off of the diff doesnt it? If you slip the clutch slowly then you are just adding abuse.

You'll still induce shock whether or not you spin the tires at the launch. The whole point of loading up the powertrain is to reduce shock.
