j-spec motor difference
hello have some news just trying to get some insight please i blew my motor and the performance shop that was suppose t forge the intenals and change up the head work said that the original motor is beyond repair and that i should consider a j-spec motor i was just wanted to know the difference such as hp, tq and are the internals different i am considering it i just wanted to know what i was getting myself into b4 i went on and made that purchase. If anyone can give me some info and some advise that will be great thankyou for your time and god bless
stay USDM spec for the motors.
The JDM motors and stroker kits tend to leave out some information. Really the main difference is the compression.

how can you up compression and not get higher hp and tq #s?

Difference is very small (US is rated at 240hp while J is rated 243hp but dyno's show both the same so 3hp crank makes no difference. A few degress in temp could make this difference). The reason they have higher compression is tat higher octane gas is readily available compared to what we get in the US
