Default gas mileage

I was looking to get rid of my R, really interested in the s2k - i was curious what kind of gas mileage you get - miles per a tank, - the reason is that this would be my daily driver.

Thanks everyone!

Note: You will lose about 2-4 mpg with your top down, depending on how fast you are going. At least that's my rough estimate.

Gas light comes on @ 260 miles or so for me. I do a mixture of top up/top down/freeway/highway. One time I drove 325 miles, I filled it up and used about 12.4 gallons. I was pretty empty.

dang, that's a pretty low mpg average. i wonder if it's a lot worse in a 2.2L.

i wonder...what the hell why does my car have shitty gas milage compared to others...i fill the tank and get about 10.4 gallons...and my gas light comes on at about 250 miles...its weird cause everytime my gas light comes on..2 min after driving i get 2 more "ticks" of gas...i think my car is playing games with my head or something

**honda states that the new '04 s2ks get about 20/25 mpg...talk about understatement

why is the mpg less if the top is down? because of the wind pressure and all? i have a h22a, and **** man, that thing is a gas guzzler. its about 19 mpg for me honestly. about 240-260 on a full tank and i believe it holds up to 14.6 gallons. how many gallons does the s2k hold? 24/30 is pretty good i would think compared to mine.

I believe the S2000 holds 12.9 gallons. I'd have to check the manual to make sure.

The gas mileage is less if the top is down due to aerodynamics. If you look at the wheel cover on the rear of the 1/4 panel of the Honda Inspire, it is there to get 1-2 more mpg.

If the attendent pumps it til it auto-shuts-off then you just aren't driving on E that long. I was in a rush to somewhere and I kind of pushed it.

Your mpg could be several things. Make sure you keep up on your maintenance such as oil and spark plugs and it could just be driving style.

Look for a decent beater. Leave the S2k home in the winter..
