08 4L AT MPG
I got this car from a big name dealer about 2 months ago, everything cosmetically and mechanically is sound, but I think my gas mileage may be off a little bit.
Using 87, It takes about $65 to fill up with the gas prices the way they are right now, this thing has around a 17-18gal tank. I MAYBE get 250 miles out of a full tank, even if i stick mostly highway, i'll use 1/4 tank going like 60 miles.
I may just be complaining for no reason but my 95 4L MT gets better gas mileage than this with only a 14gal tank!

Re: 08 4L AT MPG
Just so you calculate your MPG correctly, fill the tank, reset the trip meter, and drive it until you feel you need more gas, then calculate the number of gallons into the number of miles driven. Saying you get X miles per tank really means nothing.
HOWEVER, my girlfriend just picked up a '12 4cyl Accord, and she got 26mpg on her first tank, just so you have a benchmark. This was mostly driving around town, maybe 75 miles of highway out of ~350 miles driven.

When asking about MPG, the first thing you should do is describe how you are calculating MPG. Based on your description so far, the response would be that it's not accurate.
You can not make a good conclusion from watching the gas guage, down 1/4 and traveled 60 miles. Or even say you got 250 miles from a full tank. What is full and what is empty?

Re: 08 4L AT MPG
So do this.
1. Fill up gas, and let the nozzle click automatically.
2. Set trip meter to zero.
3. Drive as you normally do. If you are going to do something out of the norm, like a road trip or tow, the you must discount this entire tank of gas data all together.
4. Next time you fill up, let it click again.
5. Get receipt. Write down miles driven. Then reset to zero before leave the gas station.
6. Do the math. Miles/gallons added into the tank from receipt. Go down to the decimal.
Let's see what MPG you got.
FYI. I do this for both my cars on an excel spread sheet so I have a few years of data. Now I only do this once in a while, so if my MPG was to drop (for no reason), I can spot something is "wrong" right away.
