Understood... I'm probably just gonna use the K&N style filter that came with the eBay intake.. The exhaust i'm just going to save for based on your guys's comments.

and an exhaust is not a tube...

@The Black Pearl Point made. I suppose I meant the simplicty of it and it's necessity of quality to guide air for a foot and a half. But you're very right

LOL... F*ing tubes... but yes, i can feel jusst by driving a few miles to work everyday that the s2k is built really well.. I wont pollute the engineering with garbadge. I promise. The intake i'll work on but i'll prolly just go with the full K&N and heatsheild for $245.00 which isn't even a bad price.

I did the straight pipe (cat delete) on my SER. I just ordered a "cel fix" which puts the o2 sensor in some tubing away from dirty flow. Does it work similerly for the s2k? And is there just the one cat or two? Test pipe is cheap too

If you wanna do test pipe with cel fix, do it according to your future exhaust system plan. Meaning if you want to do 63 mm (2.5 in) exhaust then get a 63mm test pipe. Matching pipe size is recommended.

2k on an exhaust for an AP1...not a very good investment. Furthermore, bragging about it makes you sound like a tool.

We get the quality parts come with a high price tag, but this thread is not for bragging.

or just mess around with the mufflers for now to get the sound better - i heard an AP1 last week with just replacement cans (no idea of the brand sorry), and it sounded pretty damn good suprisingly
which hks? ive been looking into exhausts but am looking for pretty much what you described about the hks. im assuming the hipower?

and bloodred, just learn quick that quality parts for the s2k cost a little more than other hondas, at least from what ive seen for owning mine for a little over 6 months now.

it would cost about $500-600 for me to buy all the parts to build my own decent 3 inch stainless exhaust. why hell would i pay more? If im buying from a production shop/mfr then it better be cheaper.

and to the guy above, yes you are a fn retard for spending $1500 on an exhaust

Why jdogg, is he retarded? He spent his own money, on the part he wanted. Maybe he decided to get the spoon for the sound? Or maybe he appreciates it's looks? There's more to mods than dyno graphs unless you're building a full out track car.

Could I have gotten the same/similar gains, if I spent less money on a Invidia q300? Of course. But I spent $1,400 on my Asura because the sound is exactly what I wanted, it looks exactly the way I want my rear to look, and it's also future proofing in the event I do want to go FI.

If me wanting to spend extra money to love my car inch by inch, then I'm perfectly fine being an F'n retard.

**However to the spoon guy, this isn't the right thread to throw around your collection.

well put. and 2k to some people is a lot more money than it is to others. id rather have quality parts on my car than some cheap chinese junk. buy that ebay catback and i guarantee within 6 months you will be spending more money on a much nicer exhaust.

car parts are not investments. rental homes are investments. you should have paid more attention in your freshman economics classes

an investment does not have to be monetary spending for monetary gain, but nice try at being a douche.
