convertable problem....

Default convertable problem....

i just bought a hardtop and had some one installed it for me last six month ago. now for the first time i took the hardtop out and every time close the convertable it doesnt go all the way in... is there anyone experiece that???? please i need help....

p.s. the guy that intalled is on vacation for a month....

the top shrunk. you just need to give it time, water, and streach it out a bit. don't force it. but give it time. it's been wrapped up behind you for some time now. heck, this even happens in the wintertime or when it gets cold out.

did it happen to ur s2k too?? the my problem is every time i put the top up it always up short!!!! the striker is like an ince away...

you should set the car out in the sun for a few hours with the top as close to up as possible. THe sun will heat the fabric on th etop, making it expand and become more flexible. After a few hours in the sun / heat close and lock it and let it sit for a little longer to stretch some more.

there are rubber link stoppers that are installed that limit the top from going all the way down.
