Cleaning/Replacing plastic window?
Is it possible to just buy the plastic window and replace that? If so how hard is it to do? Are there any DIY's for it out there?
Otherwise, do I have to buy a complete new top and replace that? Also, what do you guys recommend for cleaning the plastic window?
Thanks.

I have some and used it this summer and it worked like a charm, and if you want to spice it up a notch, use a PC and buff it on your window and see some real progress...

Thanks for your help everyone. I'll give the plastic polish products a try first. Will stores like Autozone or Kragen carry such products?

Plastx works wonders. Mine looks brand new thanks to that stuff. Also, I put static cling tint on the outside of the window so I never even have to polish that side.
Let me put it this way... you can replace the rear glass, but you actually are replacing the entire rear section of fabric. If you look closely above the rear plastic window, you will see a line running all the way across the top. From that line down to the body gets replaced.
Needless to say, the labor time on it at the dealership is 8.5 hours. Yeah, eight and a half hours.
That's over $500 to replace the window plastic. Plus you'll probably have to leave your S2000 at a dealer overnight, plus the cost of the replacement part, which if I recall is 260 something.

is there a way of getting a glass rear window installed in the 00-01 soft top? i wouldnt mind having a glass rear window so it doesnt get all funky looking, but i dont really want/need a rear defroster

Dont' quote me on this, but I believe if I remember right, it is possible to install a newer glass window soft top on the older S2000's, but I think the entire top has to be changed. I'm not 100% sure about that, I'll have to look it up again, but I think that's right.
