check engine light

has anyone gotten a check engine light when u put an aftermarket headers? any help would be good thanks

yup i did it 3 times and still came on

do u take the metal gasket out ? or no because i left it in with the other one that comes with the kit .

You're supposed to replace the gasket, for one, but that wouldn't throw your CEL. Check the O2 sensors.

check 02 sensors. if everything is fine, go ahead and reset ecu. See if the cel comes back

i think im going to autozone an get the code and see what happens and go from there.
