AP1 for 4 years and then AP2 for 4 years. Should put the last model around 2008.</TD></TR></TABLE>
you can't do math, 4th yr for AP2 is 2007
Alot of ppl are predicting 07 being the last yr given how sales keep declining. Also if you guys pay attention to press conferences, when honda announced the new NSX being delayed and saying it will have a V10. They also mentioned canning the S2000 soon as development of its replacement has started. They stated the new s2k would be released a couple yrs after the new NSX as all major R&D efforts are on the new NSX at the moment.

it beats the s2k in the quarter mile, but in handling and speed out of corners, the s2k is better.
let's hope honda make a V8 AP3... or something wild

After seeing a clip on edmunds.com about the possibility of the next "NSX" being a front engine, SH AWD bloated RSX, I almost cringe to see what will come next.
Not to say that Honda doesn't have to good ideas, it's what the market is pushing auto makers into is what worries me.

I hope it is....
I still get people scoping out my S when I'm driving along with that puzzled, WTF look is that on their face...
When it comes up in conversation, most people who aren't into cars, don't know about the Honda S what is that? Oh that's the small little convertable sports car.
I like having a not so known ride....

You guys need to read something other than just Honda-Tech. The replacement will be in the Acura line, on the RL chassis, with the same motor as the one thats going in the new NSX.
I feel they're going to have to go with the awd platform with higher horsepower to get people back into the spirit of honda sportscars...if they just release a little 2 door coupe with a peppy 4cyl, they're going to see sales like the RX8, which havent been terrible, but havent been great either...
I also believe 2007 to be the last year of the current S2000...and with good reason, it doesnt need to be made anymore...they need to focus on other aspects of their lineup, including a revamped Accord, then get back into the sports car seat.
