My ruckus build (gonna be a long one)
Heres how it started. Picked it up with 700 miles (doubt that is true) It is pretty beat up, I had to pull the engine and head to fix the threads for the spark plug. Replaced the head gasket and valve cover gasket. Then I threw the motor back in to make sure it ran before I cut it all up.
I cut the handlebars off the stem and cut the tube in half. That made a perfect mount to weld some nice MX bars to. Also I cut the seat bracket down about 4 inches.
Lots more to come. I'm gonna get everything smoothed out and do a few more mods before I strip it all down to frame and paint it. I work on this thing a little bit everyday after work. Gonna be a fer-sho-ped when its done

Re: My ruckus build (gonna be a long one)
Couple little things I guess, nothing crazy..
New exhaust
Footpegs
Fog light in the front
LED strip for the tail light
wrap the seat in suede
flush mount blinkers
street tires
I've decided on boatflake green for paint, maybe with some blue prismateek. Haven't decided on the wheel color yet though.
This week I smoothed off the tail light bracket and took the thing out for a ride. Now that I'm sure it runs I'm going to strip it down and blast the frame and get everything ready for paint. I might polish the front frame too.

Re: My ruckus build (gonna be a long one)
It's been a long time, I haven't been working on this because I have a different ruckus now. But here is some progress. I have a different seat frame I am painting without the swoop in the back, also going to put flat bars on.
This is my new ruckus
