i've used search and what i was wondering is what all would i need on a 2001 Base to run a Zex Dry 55,65 and 75 shot. only current mods are an intake.

search in the forced induction forum, there should be plenty of threads like this

 

more fuel (fuel pump, regulator, rail; excessive but nice), colder plugs, new wires (always a plus), the kit (duh).

 

well i know the kit.

the main this i was wondering is if i could do the 65 shot without retard or any real fuel mods. with the zex kit of course

If you run a 55-65 shot you should be fine w/o any fuel uprgades.
but I would definately retard the ignition at least 2 degrees.
get some colder plugs, not the shitty zex ones though

fuel upgrades are not a neccessity, but its a good idea to get them..better safe then sorry
