Default Yes or No? Custom Setup

hey guys, im looking to make around 400whp on my 97 SH, is this a good setup so far?

T04e turbine, not sure about those .60 trim and stuff if you guys can tell me about it that would help a lot, what exact specs should i get for the turbine?
Apexi AVC-R
GReddy Type S BOV
Drag pipping
Lovefab Sidewinder mani, or should i get the SST?
RC 720 cc injectors
CM stage 3 or Centerforce Dual Friction
Apexi Turbo Timer
Aria's 9:5:1 forged pistons or JE 9:1? which one you guys think? or maybe CP? dont know much about CP just barely heard about that brand.
Godzilla sleeves?
Crower or Eagle Rods?
Hondata Stage 4b Engine Management (same as Gude's)
GReddy Boost and Exhaust Gauges with the warning sensor thing
3" Downpipe and pipping for exhaust (not sure about N1, GReddy or HKS) which is better? and i believe only N1 and HKS make the cannister)
Tial Wastegate, what size? 35 mm?

what intercooler should i get? and size? what about intercooler pipping size? do you guys see anything else i might have missed, forgot, or need to complete the Setup? and the goal of hitting 400whp? THANKS a lot guys.

well not really, it may seem like it, but if i need to reach the goals of 400 whp and i have to use parts others have, does that mean im Copy pasting? no. and the one person i copied i stated it and put his name next to it. thats the only thingi copied from someone else, the rest i researched through a MILLION diff. sites and forums and ppl's suggestions.

i got some of the ideas from my friends, which own 11-12 sec cars, only problem they dont deal with H's, only B's, well not ONLY B's but they dont like the H series, so i posted some of the ideas i had gotten on this to see if they will work.

Why is everyone so concerned about the damn BOV!! it doesn't matter!

anyway....... SEARCH!! i'm getting sick of telling everyone that....
My guess is that you don't really know about most of the parts you listed, I suggest strongly that you research all of them, especially the engine management area..... also you don't want a straight t4 turbo, a precision sc61 is perfect for 400hp... ask GudeH23 about that........ as for a manifold, go with the SST from lovefab if you have the $$ which you're gonna need a lot of to turbo a prelude, also you'll want lower compression pistons, in the 8.8 :1 or 9:1 area, screw the eagle rods, get pauter rods from mike at motormatrix.com, along with the turbo...... you'll thank yourself later....GE sleeves are great, but like I said, you have a lot a lot of research ahead of you.....

Good luck

yea, i have been seraching more than you think but not too many ppl give that much advice all they say is serach search and search but how the **** can i search if NO one gives me some advice, i appreciate your advice you actually told me whats better and whats not. and what i was told is that if i go into the 9:1 or lower, my spool up will take a lil longer that its too low of a compression. the sc61 is better than the t4? is it a bigger turbo? the sidewinder from lovefab runs for the same price as the SST. also waht do you mean by "along with the turbo"? as in from that site or what? and for the enginemanagement, honestly, i dont know what exactly i will need. thanks for the luck by the way. i hope it works out great.

Yes, I meant get both the rods and the turbo from mike at motormatrix. The straight t4 is too big, and not really great for street use, The sc61 the other hand is awesome, the GT wheels in these turbos can't be beat. The SST in my opinion is the way to go from lovefab, screw AC. Around 9:1 compression isn't going to kill spool time, full spool around 4800 to 5200 rpm, which is decent. And lastly, watch your mouth

EDIT: Honda-tech isn't the only place you should be doing research

Run the Precision SC61 turbo, talk to mike from motormatrix about getting one of those.

Hondata 4b are no longer made, they now use the s200 system. You might be able to find one used from someone though. Talk to kyle from http://www.wiredspeedlab.com about purchasing one.

Crower billets all the way, don't go with eagle.

N1 cannister exhaust is great to use with a custom 3" exhaust.

Dont get the sidewinder, it adds length to your intercooler charge pipe (compressor to intercooler). On an ideal set-up you want the smallest amount of piping needed to prevent pressure loss. Make sure you run at least a 8x3x24" core intercooler as well. 2.25 i/c piping is fine, you can always go 2.5 if you want.

first you need to eliminate the ATTS system if you want that kind of power

i suggest you first learn what a turbocharger is, what components are called etc. learn the difference between a turbine and a compressor, then decide what specs you think you need

sounds good i guess, but you have to realize, drag piping is made more or less to match their manifold design and turbo placement, it will need modifying. and as for the manifold, you need to talk to Tinker219, since he IS LoveFab, he can tell you what you need by what you want to do

**** a clutchmaster clutch, that thing wouldn't hold my STOCK motor with a 75 shot... i suggest an ACT XTSS

wiseco or JE is the best bet, i suggest about a 9:1 comp unless you are willing to push to the edge of blowing it up

made by Golden Eagle, i HIHGLY suggest them

if you get Eagle rods, be sure to get the ones with the 3/8" rod bolts

if you want a true full 3" downpipe you had better be willing so sacrifice your A/C, i dont think anyone yet makes a manifold other than the Sidewinder that allows for a full 3" downpipe with A/C. and as for the muffler, anything will work, your best bet is to talk to Kteller8 for the piping, thats where i got my mandrel bent stainless steel 3" piping for my exhuast, i am using a 3" Skunk2 universal can on the end
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Tial Wastegate, what size? 35 mm?</TD></TR></TABLE>
thy dont make the 35mm anymore, they make a 38mm, and that should be sufficient for 400hp
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">what intercooler should i get? and size? what about intercooler pipping size? </TD></TR></TABLE>
talk to a dealer for intercoolers, such as earl from laskey racing, he can tell you what size intercooler will best fit your needs
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">do you guys see anything else i might have missed, forgot, or need to complete the Setup? and the goal of hitting 400whp? THANKS a lot guys. </TD></TR></TABLE>
what about headwork??? you wanna do all that and stay with a stock valvetrain???
what about your intake manifold, you want it stock too?? or how about axles? you might wanna look at upgrading those as well. a quaife LSD would be a good idea to help get that power to the ground. how about a flywheel?? less rotational mass makes for nice throttle response

I forgot to add that I am no longer a fan of JE pistons.

CP pistons are the way to go now with wiseco piston rings. End of story. CP actually debur's the pistons unlike JE. You can see the difference in quality when comparing the pistons to one another. Talk to john from race engineering about ordering a set 561.533.5500.

both sets of JEs i've had were finished nicely, they were de-burred. oh, and JE pistons come with Wiseco rings now too. the last set i just got a few months back came with them, but the set i got last year used JE Rings

ok, wow i got scared when i opened up this thread just now, i saw all the posts and i tought i was gettin bashed on....lol i guess not. yea, i mean i can acheive that goal even with teh ATTS just extra weight, i dont know why ppl act as if since its an SH cuz of the atts you CAN'T put down serious HP with it, unless im wrong please inform me. i plan to get a base tranny and quaife lsd. and i heard the AEM EMS, well not just the EMS but AEM isn't all that great of a brand to buy stuff from. won't the hondata 200 system work fine? also, i did think about the intake mani in class today, but wasn't sure what brand or who makes any for the H22a for turbo. and about the flywheel, isn't a light weight flywheel not the best thing for turbo? from what i know, its not really all too good to put in a light weight flywheel on turboed cars.

what pipping should i get then and sizes and from where? what should i use to control the injectors? i do plan to go to an OBD1 also. and for the valvetrain i was told its not really that important for the H series for right now, cuz the bottom end has more work that should be done first then the valvetrain, but yes, i do plan on upgrading that as well.
