on my 4th gen lude, i pulled down my window all the way (drivers side) and then i heard a rreally wierd "grinding" noise coming from out of the door...i paniced and turned the car off. then, when i turned the car on again, the window no longer pulls up no matter how many times i push the button for it to go up...any tips aas to what is going on would be appreciated.

Does it make any noise? Does it sound like it's trying to go up? Take the inside of the door out and check that everything is in place.
Does the passenger window work?
Oh when when taking the inside of the door out, be carful not to break the powerlock, window switch "holder" the long plastic part.

When I had my 4th gen I had the same problem, replaced the motor still didn't work. Ended up being the switch on the door. try replacing that first its easier and cheaper.
