i can say this, do not get the mallory. good for a while but goes out. i am misfiring somehting bad above 6k. i will be switching to MSD as well. just read the specs on the box etc and make sure it will suit your RPM application etc. but in my mind i would stick to MSD and crane following shortly there after.
the thing i like about the crane (from what i have read) is that they have stock connectors so there isnt any cut and paste crap. just plug and go.
both are good names in ignition however.

Digital 6 is nicer to work with and offers other features. I would stick with it. 6al is cheaper, but you get what you pay for.

Stay away from Crane. I had one about 3 or 4 years back and the ****** died on me. Not only did it die, it took my headgasket out with it.
If you are running AEM EMS you may want to try the CDI. Another option is coil on plugs if you are running EMS. If not, then the digital 6+ with hvc coil will be just fine. Like I said, I've hit 450whp on my old set-up with that ignition system. You could always try the 7 series as well but it's a bit more expensive though.

The 6 plus is the way to go....6al is nice, but 6 plus is better....You need to read the features of the 6al and then read for the 6 plus...you will see that 6 plus is the way to go.....

I just want to add: DO NOT mount your ignition box near any engine heat. My 6 series died recently and I suspect it was because it was mounted in the firewall.

you dont need a new ignition for 400whp. honda ignitions are good for about 550whp. the msd's are a waste of time and money until you reach that goal, all they do is fry your other ignition components and it's gonna fail on you randomly. ask any honda racing team what they hate most they'll probably say ignition amplifiers.

Actually, he does. H series ignitions are not as strong as the B series ones that can handle upwards of 400whp unfortunately. Want proof?

would just an aftermarket coil would do the trick? do they make them for h22's? also i see you have the msd digital6, would the msd sci/msd6al also work?

someone i know in houston had the msd 6al on their hondata setup (h22 prelude) and jason (st00pid) said that he was having problems tuning the car with that ignition on there. they decided to put the stock ignition on and the car ran fine. of course, that's with 380whp, so i know that you need to upgrade, but since you are running hondata (i think that's right??) you may want to try a different option than the 6al, maybe try the digital 6. i'm not really familiar with ignition stuff, so i'm not sure if there will be a difference or what. or maybe st00pid is just st00pid. j/p
