what is the differnce between f22b and f22a?? I know that this is a dumb question but I was just asking. I also know that the f22b is a JDM engine, does the f22b have vtec? I know the f22a doesn't.

 

Any older Honda engine with a only a letter at the end of the engine code is generally a JDM engine.

F22A(X) (where X=a number) is the USDM Accord 2.2L SOHC engines.

F22B is the JDM 2.2L DOHC engine (similar to our H23 2.3L)

 

I'm pretty sure F22B is SOHC.
